New Faculty Orientation is mandatory this year. We would like to have an accurate and complete list of new faculty so
that each may be contacted and notified that they will be expected to attend. Please
take a moment to complete the on-line form no later than Friday, July 8, 201020.

Orientation Details
Tuesday's session will an online event through Zoom. The New Faculty will be introduced
to the University and its teaching, research, and service activities. We will address
important topics in more detail, including: Faculty support at the U of A; Research
Resources and Success, including registering for Pivot; Student Engagement; our Academic
Integrity Policy; Title IX (which is mandatory for all faculty); teaching a diverse
student body; and overall Faculty Development Resources. We will have virtual information
tables maintained by a few of the campus departments and units. Both tenure track
and non-tenure track faculty are required to attend the orientation. We cannot emphasize enough how important attendance will
be.
Human Resources will hold a live informational session online for new faculty about UA benefits on Wednesday, August 19, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. If the new faculty are not able to attend the live session, a recording of the session will be available for viewing the following day. Human Resources will send an e-mail to new faculty with the link to the session as the time gets closer.
